Why is there a delay in confirming my events at the start of the term?
Please note that there will be a delay in approving event requests at the start of each major term. This is due to academic courses being added, dropped, or moved
to spaces more suited to their capacity or requirements.
Spaces requested for non-academic events are typically assigned 1-2 days before the start of the event or the next event occurrence.
Your event requests will be processed in a much more timely manner approximately one week after the add/drop period is complete. Tried SOURCE Mobile?

All current UVA Faculty, Staff, and Students who represent a registered student organization will now be able to sign in via NetBadge to access the system. Returning users will also be able to view requests they submitted via the previous version.

Create an Event Request
Once you sign in, you will be able to request all of the spaces that you have access to view. Therefore if you are signed in and do NOT see a space that you are interested in reserving then the department responsible for that space has designated it to be a "restricted request" space.
If there is a special need to reserve a restriced request space, you must contact the scheduler responsible for that space and inquire if they will grant an exception. They will then create the event on your behalf. Please see the links to the "Department Scheduler Contact Lists" to the left of the page for their contact information.
You will create new requests using the "Event Wizard". To access the Wizard, follow these steps:
The SOURCE (Firefox or Chrome is the preferred browser) and log into your SOURCE account by using the "Sign In" button.
From your Home Page select one of the following:
The "Create an Event" button.
The link titled:
"I know WHEN my event should take place -- help me find a location!" or
"I know WHERE my event should take place -- help me choose a time!" The "Event Wizard" Tab
Event Wizard Start
Once the Event Wizard opens, you will need to complete all fields marked with a red asterisk. Once all the required fields have been filled,
click the "Next" button to move to the next "card". Once all cards have been completed, you will be able to submit the requect by clicking "Save"

Once submitted, the event request will be routed to a Department Scheduler. They will contact you to confirm or deny your request.
Depending on the time of year and the schedulers workload, this may take several days for a response.
How to Contact My Event Scheduler
The SOURCE and go to your Homepage / Dashboard Click the "# Events in which you are the Requestor" hyperlink within the “Your Events” section of your SOURCE Homepage.
If you do not see your event, be sure to check the date range filter and select “All Dates”
OR enter the Event Reference number of your event (ex: 2016-AABBCC) into the Quick Search Events Window:
Check date range for all dates
Select the name of the event (ex: Staff Request Test)
See the event details section and hover your cursor over the Scheduler (ex: Engineering Scheduler)
Then you can click on their email address and it will automatically populate into your email client.

Create an Account
If you created events through the previous version of The SOURCE, your account will still exist. After you sign into the system you will have access to view your past requests. If you do not see your past events or have trouble creating an event please contact
The SOURCE Administrator so we can update your site permissions.
If you have never signed into The SOURCE, your new account will be created automatically once you sign in via NetBadge. To sign in, simply click the "Take me to The SOURCE" link above and you will sign into The SOURCE via NetBadge.
Requests submitted for future terms will not be processed until classrooms are secured for academic courses. Spring and Fall requests may be held for up to 4 weeks after the start of the term due to the rescheduling of academic courses.

Effective Sunday November 16, 2014 the following Intramural-Recreational Sports spaces will no longer be accessible via THE SOURCE:
Aquatic & Fitness Center (AFC) Memorial Gymnasium (MGM) North Grounds Recreation Center (NGRC) Slaughter Recreation Center (SRC) Outdoor Field Spaces
Intramural-Recreational Sports will be managing those spaces and their respective events through their new scheduling system located

Student Activity Spaces
Spaces managed exclusively by the Office of the Dean of Students / Newcomb Hall Schedulers are no longer accessible via The SOURCE. The Office of the Dean of Students is managing those spaces and their respective events via their scheduling system.

Student CIO requests for Academic Space will continue to be reserved via The SOURCE.

I successfully signed in via NetBadge but I do not see events I created with the former version of The SOURCE and when I tried to create an event, I could not select an organization within the Event Wizard.
I successfully signed in via NetBadge but my Homepage is basically blank. I only see the Home and Events Tab and
when I click on the Events Tab, a message states “You have not selected any events to view”
The information within my browser is not accurate or contains old data.
Click the "Refresh" icon within the panel that is displaying old data.
If that fails, press F5 or Refresh your browser window. IMPORTANT NOTE: This will clear all information from your current session--including unsaved information within the Event Wizard.
If that fails, close all of your internet browser windows/tabs, and
clear your browser cache
When I click the link (on my Home Page) for “Events in which you are the requestor”, I do not see the number that I expected.
Click the "Refresh" icon within the panel that is displaying old data.
If that fails, those fields may be displaying current and future events. To see past events:
Select the Events Tab
Select Pre-Defined Event Searches
Select Pre-Defined Groups
Select Events You Have Requested
Change the Date range to “All Dates”
If you still do not see all of your previous events, please contact The SOURCE Administrator so we can verify your permissions on the new system.
